The Milam County Model Railroad Club (MCMRC) was formed on August 15, 2017. The club is open to anyone 14 years or older with an interest in model railroading of any scale.
The primary purposes of the club are to:
1.) provide fellowship for model railroaders and opportunities to learn or enhance model railroading skills and techniques;
2.) learn more about prototype railroads, the history of railroads in Milam County and to participate in railfanning activities;
3.) participate in and work on model railroad projects in and around Milam County; and
4.) assist in the operation and maintenance of the Milam County Railroad Museum and to, therefore, help increase tourism in Milam County.
The club normally meets at the Old Town Cameron museum at 101 West Main St, Cameron, TX on a quarterly basis with work opportunities in between meeting dates.
The club is self governing and operates on an informal basis with as few rules as possible. Currently no dues are required.
If you have an interest in model railroading, just use the contact form and let us know of your interest. It is easy to join our club - just tell us you want to join! You do NOT need any experience. You just need to be interested in learning and be willing to participate with us in club activities.
