Hours of Operation: The Milam County Railroad Museum and Old Town Cameron will be open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00AM until 4:00PM.
Old Town Rockdale Restoration - Nolan Bland of Rockdale constructed a "N" scale replica of downtown Rockdale and its associated railroad to depict Rockdale in 1928.
Les Davenport has taken the overall lead management job for renovating this layout. He has reached out to a number of people who are helping get this done. The bulk of the work has been done by several members of the CentrAmod model railroad club from Temple.
Restoration started in October 2017 and a lot of refurbishing of the buildings and track has taken place already. Also, benchwork with legs has been built. Major efforts have been completed and more have been initiated as this layout is being totally rebuilt.
Take a look at some of the work shown in photos on our Museum Photos page!
